Straight answer

Why isn't my business showing up on Google?

Usually it is one of five things: Google has not indexed your pages, you have no verified Business Profile, your business name is shared with other businesses, your pages do not answer what people search for, or nothing else online confirms your business exists. You can check the first two for free in Google Search Console and Google Maps.

Our $750 Search Visibility setup checks whether Google can reach and index your pages, records a baseline and writes a priority plan. We cannot promise a ranking.

The five usual reasons

  1. Google has not indexed your pages. A new site, a site that tells search engines to stay away by mistake, or pages nothing links to can be missing from Google entirely. A page that is not in the index cannot show up.

  2. You have no verified Business Profile. The map results and the business panel on Google come from Google Business Profiles. Verifying your profile tells Google you represent the business, which makes it more likely to show up there. A profile Google created for you may exist unclaimed.

  3. Your name is shared with other businesses. If another company uses the same or a similar name, Google may show them when people search for you. Clear service and location details on your pages and profile help tell you apart.

  4. Your pages do not answer what people search. People search for the service and the problem, like a price or how soon you can start. If your pages only give your name and a slogan, there is little for those searches to match.

  5. Nothing else online confirms your business. Reviews, directory listings and other websites that mention you with the same name and details help search engines trust that you are real.

Are your pages indexed? Use Google Search Console.

  1. Go to search.google.com/search-console and add your website. You prove you own it, usually through your domain or your website builder.

  2. Paste your home page address into the URL Inspection box at the top. It tells you whether the page is on Google and, if not, why.

  3. Open the Pages report to see which pages are indexed and which are not.

  4. For a quick first look, search Google for site: followed by your domain, with no space. No results usually means nothing is indexed yet.

Do you have a verified Business Profile? Use Google Maps.

  1. Search Google Maps for your exact business name.

  2. If no profile appears, you can create one for free at business.google.com.

  3. If a profile appears but offers to let you claim it, you do not manage it yet. Claim it and verify it.

  4. Check that the name, category, hours, website and service area match your website exactly.

What changes the answer

  1. How new the site is. A brand-new site takes time to be found and indexed, and nobody can promise a date.

  2. What you want to show up for. Searches for your own business name are the easiest to win. Searches for a service in a busy area depend much more on reviews, other sites and how well your pages answer the question.

  3. Where the searcher is. Google weighs how far a business is from the person searching, so you may show up near you and not across town.

  4. Whether the site itself works. If Google cannot read your pages, or they are hard to use on a phone, fixing the site comes before any search work.

What our setup includes, and what it does not

  • The $750 setup covers one website, a review of search access and indexability, a baseline of current pages and relevant search queries when data is available, and a written priority plan with the first month of page work agreed before it begins.
  • The plan identifies the service or market focus and the client approvals needed.
  • A new website, large content library, link-buying, paid ads, multi-site work, unlimited page creation, specialist-regulated copy, third-party software and approved outside costs are separate.
  • Search engines and AI services decide what they show.
  • We do not promise indexing by a date, rankings, AI recommendations, traffic, inquiries or sales.
  • This is a defined delivery promise, not a guarantee of leads, bookings, sales, rankings or AI recommendations.

When you do not need us

If Search Console shows your pages are indexed, your Business Profile is verified and people can find you by name, the next step is steady and free: ask every customer for an honest review and keep your profile details current.

If your website is missing or unclear, fix that first. Our websites include search foundations for the pages we build, so you would not need a separate setup to start.
