Straight answer
What should I prepare before a website project starts?
Start with the facts your customers need: what you sell, who it is for, where you serve, what it costs when price belongs on the page, and how someone should contact you. Gather your approved photos and proof, decide who can approve the words, and find who controls your domain and current website.
You do not need finished website copy. Business Website Launch includes interview-led writing and a focused customer journey. Custom Website Design adds a complete page plan and original design when the story needs more depth. Both services are scoped in writing before kickoff.

The business facts to put in one place
Services and customers. List what you offer, the people it is for and the questions they ask before they choose you.
Location and contact. Write down your service area, business hours, phone, email and the action a visitor should take.
Prices and claims. Mark which prices, credentials, comparisons and outcomes you can support and are willing to publish.
Approved material. Gather your logo, usable photos, project examples and testimonials only where you have permission to use them.
Notes are enough. The aim is to give the writer accurate raw material and a person who can settle a question.
Know who controls access and inquiries
- Find out who owns the domain and where its DNS is managed. Ask for access through the account owner rather than passing a password around.
- Identify the current website platform and the person who can approve a launch or redirect.
- Name the inbox or supported CRM destination for website inquiries and the person responsible for answering them.
- Write down any booking, payment or other tool the site must connect to so it can be priced in the scope.
- The project covers one business, one language, one primary customer journey and up to five core pages.
- Better Marketing develops the website copy from an owner interview and approved business information, designs and builds the responsive pages on one supported platform, and includes one inquiry form, one supported inbox or CRM destination, one customer acknowledgement and one owner alert.
- Standard launch checks cover mobile, desktop, links, page titles, inquiry delivery and access.
- One consolidated preference revision is included.
Choose the scope before work begins
A focused site and a custom site solve different problems. The right choice depends on what your customers need to understand and how much approved evidence you have to show.
- Business Website Launch is for a business with a missing, outdated or unclear website that needs one focused customer story.
- The finished result is a professional site that explains the business, makes the next action obvious and belongs to the customer at handoff.
- Choose Custom Website Design when the work needs deeper writing, original direction or a broader customer experience.
- We plan the pages around what visitors need to understand, trust and do.
- Offering pages, team pages, project stories and useful answers can all belong in the same project.
- Your fixed proposal names the complete sitemap and initial content before you pay.
- A seventh page or another customer audience is not automatically another fee.
- This is a custom marketing website for one business, not an unlimited content program.
Give the project one clear approval route
- Name the person who checks business facts, claims and the final pages.
- Collect comments in one place and say which comments are required changes.
- Agree what counts as ready for review, what happens after revision and who accepts launch.
If you are comparing agencies, ask each one to name its included writing, revision, inquiry test, outside costs and handoff in the proposal.
When you do not need a website project
If your current website clearly explains the business, works on a phone and sends inquiries to the right person, a new build may not be the first fix. Check whether the gap is the page, the inquiry handoff or the traffic coming to it.
